Robyn Few: sex worker rights freedom fighter

Robyn Few started like most people involved in the fight for sex worker rights.  She ran into trouble with the law.  She fought and the law won in the short term. But Robyn didn’t give up the struggle.  She came out as a sex worker and formed a national group to fight for sex worker rights. Her organization SWOP USA has now become the nation's largest sex worker rights organization. Through her efforts, we are changing laws, and will end up winning.

You hear the phrase “tireless activist,” all the time, but Robyn takes it to a whole new level.  She was diagnosed with cancer in 2007 and she has kept fighting for sex worker rights all the way through her treatment. Robyn is an inspiration to all of us in the community. She currently resides in the Bay Area where she dotes on her dog and she can't wait to hug her grand daughter when she travels to see her again.
